The Ceremony commenced
with the recitation of Holy Verses by a student Mr
Mohd. Ishtiyaq Ahmad, followed by the Welcome
Address of Mr Abdul Rashid Agwan, the President of
Universal Knowledge Trust. In this address, he
reminded regarding the lost glory of the community
as an enlightened and learned people. He shed light
on the objective and need of the Professional
Scholarship Programme of the UKT, which is unique in
the country in the sense that no other organization
and even the government department has paid
attention to promoting short term professional
courses stressed by the Trust in its right earnest.
He motivated the participants by quoting several
Ayats and Ahadith for excelling in the process of
learning since it is a sort of obligatory
responsibility of human beings. |

Mr. Sidheq Hasan, Vice-President of
Jamat-e-Islami Hind on the Podium |
The Chief Guest Mr
Khwaja Shahid stressed that the object of education
remains to be making good human beings and it should
not go out of the sight of both the educators and
learners. He went on to say that the scenario of
education is fast changing and in order to progress
with other communities the Muslims should also make
their utmost efforts and change in attitude.
According to the learned speaker the students should
acquire both the academic knowledge and skill and
practical abilities since the present day market
forces would absorb only such professionals who can
really perform and deliver the desired service. He
appreciated the scheme of the UKT as an
unparallelled work in the field of educational
promotion. |
